To facilitate and support overall development of students, Sona MBA provides various platforms through multiple academic and non-academic events where students bring forth their talents and prove their managerial skills. Students are encouraged to participate in intra- and inter-college events.

Events such as Sports, Conferences, Business Quiz, Speakers Forum, Readers club and Sona Bazaar are organized by the students. These events clearly demonstrate their organising, leadership skills, effective communication, networking, using technology, negotiation, time management, and team work.

Our students also attend programs and participate in various events and competitions organised by other Institutions. They present papers in various conferences and publish in National /International Indexed journals. The above mentioned activities create a sense of responsibility, unity among the students through group participation, awareness of real life business environment, ability to work under pressure, and develop positive outcomes.

A.P. Nivedha Sri has participated in the event ‘speak for India’ Competition and  was selected for Tamil Nadu Division Finalist.

Sona MBA students have participated in the ‘Student Speakers Forum (SSF)’ in Sona College of Technology and have exposed their views on the topics like ‘Responsibilities of students for the society,’Women Empowerment and Education ‘, ‘End poverty and hunger’ ‘Hunger and food waste ‘’Environment Cleanliness’ ,’Body Shaming’ and have won prizes.

Gowtham K has has won the silver medal in Sports event at Salem district level for the Weightlifting Competition

Badhri D & Srikanth C have participated in Tata Crucible Business Quiz in Narasus Sarathy Institution of Technology, Salem on 12.01.2019 for the topic Business and are Winners in regional rounds with a cash Prize of Rs.75,000, Kirubakaran M & Kiruthika R were the Runners and won cash Prize of Rs.35,000. Balambika R & Viswapriya J B have participated in the same event on 11.01.2020 and were Runners in regional rounds and won cash Prize of Rs.35,000.

Bakthavatchalam A K & Nandhini P are the winners of National level talent fest -Business Quiz at Kongu Engineering College, Erode on the topic REPOWIS 2019.

Students have also organized workshop on ‘Mobile photography & social media managemen’ and ’ The future perspective for youth’.

To enhance self learning, students are encouraged to do MOOC courses in various platform like NPTEL, upgrad, Udemy, AWS, Coursera, Hubspot Academy, Google digital unlocked, corporate finance institute, bit degree, CFA institute, TCS ion, NSIM and internshala

For the practical applicability of the learned concepts and models, students are assigned with live projects and they take up in groups apart from regular curriculum.
