Innovate, Patent, Monetise: Turning Ideas into Income

On 16th October 2025, Sona School of Business and Management, in association with the Faculty Development Cell of Sona College of Technology, conducted a workshop on "Innovate, Patent, Monetise: Turning Ideas into Income" with Dr. V. Shankar and Mr. A. Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy as resource persons. More than 50 participants from various departments gained insights on patent filing, commercialization, and monetizing IP. Dr. Shankar covered IPR basics, patent protection, and prosecution while Dr. Reddy discussed IP types, commercialization models, compliance, and legal aspects.

The afternoon session featured one-on-one interactions with patent holders, offering valuable guidance on commercialization strategies – a highly insightful experience for participants to take their ideas forward. The workshop empowered participants to innovate, patent, and monetize ideas. We thank the Management, Dean, and HODs for their support.
